“This song is the personal story of my co-writer and cousin Debbie. The entire story isn’t revealed in the song because it is so tender, but there are clues. We all can relate the bitter and sweetness of love. I wanted everything to be just so, and after the song was written and demoed, I wrote an entirely new chorus. I was out for a walk and that’s when it came to me. Walking is a great catalyst for writing.”
